Invest UP and DFCCIL Sign Three-Year MoU to Strengthen Uttar Pradesh’s Logistics Ecosystem
Invest UP and the Dedicated Freight Corridor Corporation of India Limited (DFCCIL) have entered into a strategic three-year Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) aimed at strengthening Uttar Pradesh’s logistics infrastructure and improving multimodal freight connectivity across the state.
The MoU was signed by Shri Sandesh Srivastava, Executive Director/Project, DFCCIL and Shri Vijay Kiran Anand, CEO, Invest UP in the presence of Shri Deepak Kumar, Infrastructure & Industrial Development Commissioner (IIDC), Government of Uttar Pradesh.
The agreement is focused on creating stronger coordination between industrial development and dedicated freight infrastructure. It is expected to facilitate better integration of freight corridors with logistics parks, industrial clusters, warehousing facilities and other key economic centres of Uttar Pradesh.
Under the MoU, both organisations will work towards identifying opportunities for improved logistics connectivity and supporting the development of an efficient freight movement ecosystem. The initiative is expected to enhance supply-chain efficiency, reduce logistics-related bottlenecks and support faster movement of goods.
The partnership also aligns with Uttar Pradesh’s broader objective of strengthening its position as a major logistics and investment destination. Improved rail-based freight connectivity through the Dedicated Freight Corridor can provide industries with more efficient transportation options while supporting trade and manufacturing activities.
The collaboration between Invest UP and DFCCIL is also expected to contribute to greater private-sector participation by improving the logistics environment for investors. Better connectivity between production centres, markets and freight terminals can strengthen the competitiveness of industries operating in the state.
The three-year MoU represents an important step towards coordinated infrastructure planning and integrated logistics development. By leveraging freight corridor infrastructure and investment facilitation mechanisms, the partnership aims to build a more efficient, connected and investment-oriented logistics ecosystem in Uttar Pradesh.
