Godrej Industries Group Signs MoU with Haryana for ₹20,000 Crore Investment
Godrej Industries Group has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Government of Haryana to invest approximately ₹20,000 crore in the state, marking a significant expansion of its business and investment footprint. The proposed investment has the potential to generate around 40,000 employment opportunities.
The MoU was signed in the presence of Haryana Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini. The investment plan builds on the Group’s existing presence in Haryana, where it has invested nearly ₹12,000 crore so far and employs around 9,000 people across its businesses.
Godrej Properties Ltd (GPL) is expected to be a key driver of the planned investment. The company has already invested around ₹11,000 crore in Haryana and plans to invest a further ₹16,000 crore by FY28. Its existing portfolio includes 18 projects across Gurugram, Sonipat, Faridabad, Panipat and Kurukshetra, with upcoming projects expected to create more than 11,000 jobs.
The Group’s plans also extend to commercial infrastructure. Godrej Ventures, its real estate private equity business, has invested around ₹1,000 crore in Haryana and plans an additional ₹3,500 crore investment in Grade A+ office infrastructure in Gurugram. These investments are expected to support more than 30,000 direct and indirect jobs and strengthen the city’s commercial ecosystem.
Beyond real estate, the Group has an established presence in financial services and consumer products in Haryana. The investment initiative is therefore expected to contribute to urban development, employment generation, commercial infrastructure and broader economic activity in the state.
From a governance and development perspective, the MoU highlights the role of state-industry partnerships in mobilising private capital, expanding infrastructure and creating employment. The proposed investment is also expected to reinforce Haryana’s position as an attractive destination for residential, commercial and business-sector investments.
