BRICS Gains Greater Trust Across the Global South: PM Modi
Prime Minister Narendra Modi has highlighted the growing confidence of the Global South in BRICS, underlining the grouping’s expanding role in shaping a more balanced, inclusive and representative global governance framework.
Speaking in the context of India’s BRICS leadership, PM Modi emphasised that the grouping has increasingly emerged as an important platform for developing and emerging economies to articulate shared priorities. The growing participation and engagement of countries from the Global South reflects greater confidence in BRICS as a forum for cooperation on economic development, trade, technology, energy and multilateral reforms.
India’s approach to BRICS has focused on strengthening people-centric development, practical cooperation and inclusive decision-making. New Delhi has also stressed the importance of giving developing nations a stronger voice in international institutions and global economic governance.
