Uttar Pradesh Strengthens Public EV Charging Infrastructure, Ranks Third Nationwide
Uttar Pradesh has emerged as one of the leading states in India in the development of public electric vehicle (EV) charging infrastructure, ranking third in the country under the leadership of Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath. The achievement reflects the state government’s continued focus on promoting sustainable mobility, expanding clean transportation infrastructure and reducing dependence on conventional fossil fuels.
According to the latest figures, a total of 17.67 lakh electric vehicles have been registered in Uttar Pradesh so far. The steady growth in EV adoption indicates increasing public acceptance of cleaner and more sustainable modes of transportation across the state.
